Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!! If you've been following along, you should have reached this blog post through a link on Harvester Products' blog. If you found this post through any other source, you'll want to head back over to 3 Boys & a Ball of Yarn's blog so you can hop along in order and not miss out on any of the fun on the other blogs between there and here! There are some pretty neat prizes to enter to win on each post along the way.
2015 is in full swing, and I'm trying not to waste a minute of it! I have several things already in the works. I've even managed to check a couple of things off of my 2015 To-Do List (yea!).
For me, 2015 is all about organizing and reaching goals. Not just things around the house, but becoming better organized in my business practices, also. If you were a previous follower, you might notice that things are looking different around Little Luvies Shop these days. The blog and website have received a make over this week!
In addition to organizing things, I've set up a couple of crochet related goals for myself. This year, I've decided to do the Moogly 2015 Afghan CAL. This started last week, and I have completed my first block. For me, this is a big deal! I do not do blankets, other than an occasional baby blanket. I get board with them, put them down and they end up gifted as scarves after a couple of years in the WIP basket. There is something about working one square every couple of weeks that seems less daunting about this process than to sit down and try to do one solid blanket or 25 squares all at once. So, I'm very hopeful that I will make this goal by the end of the year. Here's a look at my first square, pre-blocked.
The other thing I'm doing this year is making Christmas ornaments. We do have some store bought, but a couple years ago, we had to get rid of what we had, tree and all, because a new kitten that we'd adopted had ringworm and he loved climbing in our tree. So, rather than take any chances that it resurfaced the following year (it can live up to 2 years!!!), we threw it out. We've been slowly growing our ornament collection as I find ones I like that are on sale, and this past Christmas, my daughter collected a grocery bag full of pinecones that we decorated and turned into ornaments. I also crocheted a few snowflakes and decorated those for the tree. I decided that I really liked the rustic look of pinecones and crochet on the tree. So, this year, I've set a goal to make one ornament each week from now until Christmas. The first two are finished, as of last night, and I am trying to decide what I want to make next. They may not all be crocheted, but for now, they are. Here are the first two, and you can find them as I post them in this album on Facebook.
Right now, I am working to move all of my patterns onto my website so you can easily find them without having to click over to Ravelry or Craftsy to purchase them. Also new for 2015, I will not be taking custom orders for finished items. My focus will be strictly on designing new things for you. And, some of those things will be exclusively free to blog subscribers for a limited time! So, watch your email for these blog posts so you will not miss out on your coupon codes! I will start selling RTS items on my website periodically, as they come available, though, if you still want a Little Luvies Shop creation of your own. :)
So, let's get hopping! As part of the blog hop, each blogger is offering a prize to one lucky follower! You must follow the blog by email and activate your subscription following the instructions emailed to you once you sign up; comment on this blog post as instructed in the Rafflecopter below; and last, but not least, you need to hop over to the next blog and follow their instructions there.
